So if you have no time to read tonight\, download a free audio story from Storynory or Kent Libraries growing audiobooks collection. \nStory Time will be taking place in the Children’s Library (under the beautiful night sky) on Monday Mornings at 11:00 from the 9th May. \nNo need to book\, just drop in.

Covering devising\, page to stage\, costume design\, Charleston dance\, and a trip to London to visit a live theatre performance. \nThe Final works will be a performance to the public the evening of Friday 7th August. \nThrough this programme participants will complete a Bronze Arts Award\, which is a nationally recognised qualification for arts participant; the cost of which is included in the participation cost. \nThis programme runs Monday to Friday 27th July – 7th August 10am – 4.30pm. \nProgramme participation fee is £200 per young person. \nThe fee includes all sessions\, transport and tickets for the Theatre Trip\, and 2 tickets to the final performance.

DESCRIPTION:Blind and partially sighted adults are invited to explore The Amelia’s collections through touch\, sound and imagination. \nRun in collaboration Kent Association for the Blind\, Sensing Culture workshops offer a relaxed\, creative environment where you can experience objects up close\, discover new stories and enjoy making art together. \nSessions take place monthly\, on the last Friday of each month\, from 10:30am to 12:30pm\, in the Artist Residency Studio at The Amelia Scott. \nWhat to expect \n• Object Handling: Explore authentic museum objects through guided touch with support from our trained staff. \n• Tactile Tours: Take part in sensory-led journeys through our galleries and private tours of temporary exhibitions. \n• Creative Making: Try out different materials and create your own artwork inspired by the collection. \nNo previous art experience needed. \nIf you’d like to join or want to know more\, please contact Wendy Daws: \n– wendy.daws@kab.org.uk \n– 01622 691357 (Kent Association for the Blind) \nWendy will be happy to answer any questions you may have.

SUMMARY:Young Company Summer Acting Programme – The Great Gatsby Immersive Theatre Project
DESCRIPTION:“In his blue gardens men and girls came and went like moths among the whisperings and the champagne and the stars.” \nJump into the roaring 20’s through this 2 week programme is for young performers aged 14-18 years. Over 10 days participants will create their own immersive theatre performance of the legendary tale of The Great Gatsby. \nStudents will work with industry professionals to create site specific magic in our art deco theatre. Covering devising\, page to stage\, costume design\, Charleston dance\, and a trip to London to visit a live theatre performance. \nThe Final works will be a performance to the public the evening of Friday 7th August. \nThrough this programme participants will complete a Bronze Arts Award\, which is a nationally recognised qualification for arts participant; the cost of which is included in the participation cost. \nThis programme runs Monday to Friday 27th July – 7th August 10am – 4.30pm. \nProgramme participation fee is £200 per young person. \nThe fee includes all sessions\, transport and tickets for the Theatre Trip\, and 2 tickets to the final performance.

DESCRIPTION:Come and join our fun and noisy singing session for children under 4 and their parents and carers. \nA free\, fun and noisy way for under 4s to develop a love of language and a foundation for learning. Each session lasts about 20 – 30 minutes and includes the opportunity to join in with nursery rhymes and action songs. \nResearch shows that these activities can help develop literacy and communication skills in babies and children. \nThese sessions will take place in the Children’s library (under the beautiful night sky) on Tuesdays at 10:00 and 11:00\, and Thursdays at 10:00. \nNo need to book\, just drop in!
