In this session, pupils explore how the high street has changed over the years both in terms of its physical appearance and the nature of shopping. 

Pupils discover how in the past, items now found under one roof in a supermarket were bought from a range of different shops and they explore the Amelia to find evidence of how this played out in Tunbridge Wells.

The session includes an opportunity to handle mystery objects from curious shops and the chance to look at old coins and do some rubbings.
