Our Own Exhibition

A course empowering participants to co-create and curate an exhibition, developing skills, confidence, and a sense of voice. The programme guides participants through the process of creating a museum display, including selecting objects, writing interpretation, and more, culminating in a public exhibition at The Amelia.

Take Some Time

The group explores a different object from our museum collection each week. We use Mindful Looking to Take Some Time with the object and then have a relaxed discussion. Mindfulness-based course using museum collections, slow looking, and creative activities to support reflection, connection, and wellbeing.

Creative Writing

We run a range of creative writing courses exploring different genres, including crime, romance, and science fiction/fantasy. These courses offer the opportunity to develop writing skills, share work, and build confidence in a supportive environment – no experience needed. The course draws on museum archives and historical research for inspiration.
