In this session, pupils find out about Tunbridge Wells in its Georgian hey-day!
They look at how the elite of the town dressed at the time, discover the ingredients used in makeup and learn how ladies made their hair so big! Pupils have the opportunity to interact with some of the Amelia’s Georgian collection, try on replica costume and take their first steps in ‘The Language of the Fan’!
At KS1, children create their own Georgian masks, complete with ‘mouse fur’ eyebrows, while at KS2 the class meet the Collections Team who share their expertise with the group.
