In this session, pupils consider the lives of ordinary people living in Tunbridge Wells during WW2.
They study maps to find out which were the safest and most dangerous places in wartime Tunbridge Wells and learn how public information films were used to help people prepare for life during wartime.
Pupils take part in a series of engaging activities around museum objects which help them understand the impact the war had on people like themselves.
The session concludes with an introduction to the Kindertransport and the journey of one child to a local refuge at The Beacon.
